# Currency format

This guide describes the Theme settings > Currency format menu options. Use the settings to specify how currencies are displayed throughout your store. Refer to Shopify help: Currency format (opens new window)

On the left side of the previous image, two examples of the Currency codes checkbox are displayed in Theme settings > Currency formats. In the upper example the checkbox option is set to off, and to on in the lower example. Each checkbox setting is applied to a corresponding product Price on the right side of the image. Note how the checkbox shows/ hides the USD currency code suffix in the product’s price.

# Set up currency formats

To set up currency formats:

  1. Go to Theme settings > Currency format.

  2. Select a setting described in the following table.

Setting name Description
Currency codes Select the Currency codes checkbox to add/remove a currency code suffix from the prices displayed throughout your store. For example, $1.00 USD. Currency codes are always displayed with prices on Cart and Checkout pages.
