Social media ​

This guide describes the Theme editor's Theme settings > Social media menu options.

Use the menu options to integrate social media into your store. Refer to Shopify help: Social media.

The previous image shows a store's blog post (recipe article) page. In the upper left, part of the Theme editor's Theme settings > Social Media menu is displayed. The menu's Display option is set to Icons. This option specifies how your store's share list is displayed on specific store pages. In the center of the image, icons are displayed in the store's share list. The share list icons allow visitors to share the article on social media.

Configure Social media ​

To configure your Social media settings:

  1. In the Theme editor, go to Theme settings > Social media.

  2. Select a setting described in the following table.

Setting nameDescription
Sharing options > DisplayUse the Display options to show links in the share list as Text or Icons. The share list is displayed on specific store pages, such as blog post articles and product pages. Store visitors use the list to share links to your store's pages on social media.
Sharing options > Share on FacebookUse the Share on Facebook options to show or hide Facebook in the Share list.
Sharing options > Tweet on X (formerly Twitter)Use the Tweet on X options to show or hide X (formerly Twitter) in the Share list.
Sharing options > Pin on PinterestUse the Pin on Pinterest options to show or hide Pinterest in the Share list.
Accounts > Social media display styleUse the Social media display style option to show your store's social media links as Text or Icons. Links to your store's social media can be displayed on store pages and inside sections, such as in the store's header and footer.
Accounts > Text boxesIn each field, enter corresponding URLs for your store's social media. Enter links for Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Tumblr, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn, Threads, WhatsApp, Discord, Twitch, and Messenger. When you enter social media URLs, the theme displays corresponding social media links throughout your store.
Accounts > Email addressIn the Email address field, enter an email address for your store.
