Customer account

This guide describes the Theme editor's Theme settings > Customer account menu options.

Use the settings to control customer account features and sign-in behavior. Refer to Shopify help: Customer accounts.

Note

Legacy customer accounts are not supported. To upgrade, refer to Shopify help: Upgrading to customer accounts from legacy customer accounts.

Set up customer accounts

To set up customer accounts:

1. In the Theme editor, go to Theme settings > Customer account.

2. Select a setting described in the following table.

Setting name	Description
Manage visibility (link)	Follow the Manage visibility link to open the Customer accounts page of your Shopify admin. Use the page to set up, manage, and customize customer accounts, and to configure sign-in options. Refer to Shopify help: Customer accounts.
Menu	Use the Menu picker to set up a menu to display for customer accounts. By default, the menu is set to Customer account main menu. To set up a menu for customer accounts, refer to Set up a menu for customer accounts.

Note

To connect a metafield to a setting that supports metafields, select the Connect dynamic source icon displayed beside the setting in the Theme editor.

Set up a menu for customer accounts

To set up a menu for customer accounts, apply the following settings in Theme settings > Customer account > Menu.

• If no menu is set, choose Select. Enter the name of a menu into the Search box, or pick a menu from the list.

• To edit the current menu, select the Menu picker and then choose the Edit link. The link opens the Menus editor in your store's Shopify admin. Use the editor to modify the menu. Refer to Shopify help: Add, remove, or edit menu items in your online store.

• To create a new menu, select the Menu picker:

  • If you have an existing menu, select the Edit link.
  • If no menu is present, select the Create menu link.

  The link opens the Menus editor in your store's Shopify admin. Use the menu editor to create a new menu, and then select the new menu. Refer to Shopify help: Add, remove, or edit menu items in your online store.

• To replace the current menu, select the Menu picker and then choose Replace. Enter the name of the replacement menu into the Search box, or pick a replacement menu from the list.

• To delete the current menu, select the Menu picker and then choose Remove menu.
